Want to get your film scored for free? Come to a Q&A with the director of the Los Angeles Live Score Film Festival and learn how! This is a very exciting opportunity for LA-based NYFA students and recent alumni to work with -- and have their short films scored for free by -- professional composers. Pizza will be served at 11:30am and then the Q&A will begin at 12:00pm. On July 20th, the films will be screened for an audience while an orchestra plays live! Here’s what we are looking for:
• Shorts of all genres, under 6 minutes long, although we will consider films up to 10 minutes long.
• Films that do not yet have a final soundtrack or composed score. They can have library music or temp music for their soundtrack or no soundtrack at all.
• Films that can be finalized by May 10, 2019. This includes all post-production elements such as sound design and color correction.
• If not filmed in English, the film must be subtitled in English.
• Deadline for submission: Sunday, April 14, 2019.
Do you have a project that fits this description? Are you a current NYFA student or alum who graduated after January 1, 2017? Then come to the Q&A on March 27th or write festivalsla@nyfa.edu for more details.
