"The 20/20 Series" is a pop-up event that takes us into the homes, hubs, and workspaces of an array of dynamic creative visionaries to allow for relaxed, engaging conversations on craft, creation, and artistic vision.

Each conversation with a creative visionary features 20 minutes of discussion with a moderator and a 20 minute Q&A from YOU, the audience.

This event is open to the public, as a means of promoting global connection and creativity, a key mission of NYFA.

Dorottya Mathe [do:ro:tja: m’a:tei] is a New York-based Producer from Hungary with over 25+ film credits, who orchestrates all aspects of the production from conception to completion in her projects. Dorottya is excited to produce narrative and documentary films in such an ethnically diverse city as New York, where she can pursue cross-cultural collaborations with international cast and crew.

To fulfill her relentless passion and unwavering commitment to telling female-driven stories with culturally versatile talents, Dorottya and writer-director-producer Nicole Gomez Fisher joined forces to collaborate on an adventure-comedy Good Egg, starring Yara Martinez, Joel Johnstone, and Andrea Londo, with the goal to spark thought-provoking conversations about women’s courageous journey behind their reproductive choices. Principal Photography wrapped in August and the film is expected to be released in 2022.

Her credits also include Impossible Monsters, a visually enticing psychological thriller starring Tony Award Winner Santino Fontana with Geoffrey Owens, Laila Robins, and Dennis Boutsikaris, which was released theatrically in 2020 and distributed online worldwide by Gravitas Ventures; The Independents, a fictional folk ’n roll fable with Richard Kind and Tony Award Winner Kelli O’Hara in cameo-roles; and Should We Kid Or Not? an interview-based documentary web series commissioned by PBS, which places two participants in a debate-style discussion to explore the pros and cons of whether or not to have kids.

Dorottya enjoys working across genres and produced an eclectic array of highly visible projects for prestigious art institutions such as Portraits in Dramatic Time commissioned by Lincoln Center featuring seminal talents including Alan Rickman, Patti Lupone, Holly Hunter, Ludivine Sagnier, Marianne Jean-Baptiste; Women: The War Within directed by Paul Warner for the Baryshnikov Arts Center starring Wendy Whelan, the outstanding Chinese traditional opera singer Qian Yi and Obie Award-Winning actress Ching Waldes-Aran; and a jazz concert performed by a remarkable international ensemble that debuted at Carnegie Hall to critical acclaim.

Mathe is currently in development on writer-director Nathan Catucci’s (Impossible Monsters) The Bikeriders, about three motorcycle riders who set out to avenge a young woman’s death in the rust belt in 80s America.
