IF PRIVATE?
If your location is private (houses, apartments, stores, studios, warehouses, restaurants) work out arrangements with the location then apply for the permit with the city Film Office.
IF PUBLIC?
If your location is public, find out what city manages the location.
For example, the Park Film Office manages film shoots in LA City Parks, so they will be the first people to call regarding shooting there. If you are shooting on a sidewalk or street, contact that city’s film Office.
