Michael Gallagher is the award-winning filmmaker and digital media pioneer behind Totally Sketch, Smiley, The Thinning Franchise, and the mockumentary Internet Famous. He co-founded MAKER STUDIOS, the world's largest digital talent network (sold to Disney in 2014). THE THINNING franchise has become the most successful and highly viewed film series on the YouTube Originals streaming platform to date.

In 2018, Gallagher co-wrote, directed and produced the dark comedy Funny Story starring Matthew Glave (The Wedding Singer), Emily Bett Rickards (CW’s “Arrow”) and Jana Winternitz (The Thinning). Funny Story premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival and went on to play over 30 film festivals & winning 16 awards. Funny Story marks his fifth feature and is now available on iTunes, Amazon and Video On Demand.

Gallagher is currently in development on several features through his production company, Cinemand Films.

Actors Matthew Glave (The Wedding Singer) and Jana Winternitz (The Thinning) will also be at the Q&A.
