Appendix I Revisions and Prepare for Fall - LA Campus Update: July 2
July 2, 2021
Dear NYFA LA Community,
Revised Production Guidelines: As the incidence rate of COVID-19 illness in the State of California and LA County has significantly decreased, and LA County Public Health guidelines have been relaxed, NYFA has revised Appendix I: COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for NYFA Physical Productions.
Beginning July 6, students, faculty, and staff involved in NYFA physical productions, including instructor-led workshops and individual student productions are expected to follow the updated guidelines in Appendix I of the NYFA COVID Safety Plan, linked on the NYFA Student Hub. Please refer to the attachment for a visual fact sheet of NYFA’s Updated Production Guidelines.
Currently, we cannot further relax the safety protocols due to the current vaccination percentage of our community. Once vaccinations are required in the Fall semester, NYFA hopes to further reduce the safety protocols.
Prepare for Fall Semester: As a reminder, for the 2021-2022 academic year, NYFA’s plan is to return everyone to in-person, on-campus learning. Classes for the Fall Semester will begin August 30, 2021 on-campus and in-person.
NYFA will be requiring all students and faculty to be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccine prior to being granted access to any NYFA facility and participating in in-person instruction and activities. Please carefully read the information describing the NYFA COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements found on the NYFA Health Requirementswebpage.
Continuing students planning to participate in their programs Fall 2021, and students returning from a Leave of Absence should submit proof of their COVID-19 immunization no later than July 30, 2021 using the Continuing Student Registration Form accessible on the NYFA Student Hub.
Employees should submit proof of their COVID-19 immunization no later than July 30, 2021 using the Employee Paycom Portal.
