Summer 2026 Student Directed Play Submssions - Now Open!

The Acting Department is now accepting submissions for our Summer 2026 Student Directed Plays! See below for more information on submission guidelines and the deadline for submission. We cannot wait to see your work!
HOW TO SUBMIT:
- Please submit digital copies of your proposal and full script to drobinette@nyfa.edu
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
If you are interested in directing a student production, please submit the following:
- Script Submission: A published (one-act or full-length) with a cast of six actors or fewer.
- Statement of Purpose: Briefly explain why you want to direct the piece.
- Production Details: A short description of the production elements required, including the number of actors, crew, and any necessary set, costume, and lighting requirements.
- Pitch Session: Selected projects will be invited to pitch their projects to the Student-Directed Play
Committee, which will determine the final selections.

All submissions must be received by Friday, February 27th by 5:00 p.m.
