LA COVID-19 Health Report: Nov. 13, 2020
November 13, 2020 - 12:30pm
Dear NYFA LA Community,
NYFA is committed to keeping the community informed of the incidence of COVID-19 on all its campuses.
A member of the NYFA Los Angeles campus community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual has not been present on campus at any time during the infectious period. Also, this individual has not been in contact with any member of the NYFA community at any time during the infectious period. The individual has been self-isolating since the onset of symptoms. We wish for this individual to have a complete and rapid recovery.
This is the third report of a NYFA community member who has tested positive for COVID-19 this week (see previous announcements on the NYFA Hub). Incidence rates of new cases of COVID-19 in Los Angeles have been increasing. Please remain vigilant. Follow personal hygiene guidelines, practice physical distancing, wear masks when venturing outside your homes, and staying home when you are sick. In abiding by these practices, you will limit your exposure to the virus and you will be doing all you can to stay healthy and protect the safety of our community.
For ongoing updates of the incidence of illness on the NYFA LA Campus, for tips on staying healthy, and for guidance on how to access care should you become ill, please consult the NYFA Hub and review the Los Angeles Health and Campus Updates.
To help maintain the safety of our community, please also report positive COVID-19 test results to:
Faculty and Staff: Pankti Shah, Director of Human Resources, pankti.shah@nyfa.edu
Students: Susan Ashe, Dean of Students, susan.ashe@nyfa.edu
Stay safe and be well,
