Masking on Campus Guidelines

Effective as of Tuesday, July 5, 2022
Dear NYFA LA Students, Faculty and Staff:
Per NYFA’s Health Alert on June 30, as of today, NYFA LA has a minimum of 25 active COVID-19 cases on campus. Therefore, we will adjust mask guidance in order to mitigate on-campus transmission of COVID-19 and further protect our community. Beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2022, NYFA LA will require indoor masking in all NYFA facilities.
 - Only well-fitted medical grade masks, surgical masks, or higher-level respiratorssuch as N95 filtering facepiece respirators or KN95 masks will be considered acceptable face coverings on campus
- Masks must be worn at all times while indoors regardless of vaccination status with the exception of while actively eating in designated areas and during performance.
- NYFA branded masks, without valves, are acceptable.
This mandate will be removed when there are no more than ten (10) active positive cases in the on-campus NYFA LA community for a sustained period of no less than two weeks.
Failure to comply with the guidelines above may result in disciplinary action.
