Student Conduct- LA

Student Code of Conduct

All students enrolled at the New York Film Academy students are expected to make themselves aware of and abide by the community’s standards of behavior as articulated in the Student Code of Conduct. NYFA’s student code of conduct is in place to create a safe, healthy, and responsible community that allows NYFA students, faculty, and staff to be successful in their creative and professional endeavors.

Incident Reporting

If a NYFA faculty or staff member witnesses any non-academic behavior that may violate our student code of conduct, the online Incident Form needs to be completed right away. Once the form is received, members of the Dean of Students Office staff will review it to determine if a violation of our student code of conduct may have occurred. If so, a case will be opened and the student will receive a notification letter inviting them to discuss the incident. Please refer to our Student Code of Conduct Process Flowchart for additional information.

If a NYFA student witnesses any non-academic behavior that may violate the student code of conduct, they should report it to an appropriate NYFA official such as an instructor, department chair or administrator.

All academic misconduct violations should be reported to the Dean of Academic Advising, Dr. Mike Civille through the Academic Integrity Violation Reporting Form.
