Q: I need a book/film that the library doesn't carry. How can I find it?
A: If we don't carry something that you need, there are a few different ways to get it.

  1. The fastest way to acquire library materials that we don't carry would be to use the local public library systems near us, namely the New York Public Library.
  2. We can also find library materials for you via interlibrary loan. This process can take some time, however, since we would need to wait for your request to be mailed to us. The wait time is usually between 1 and 2 weeks. If you would like us to do that for you, you can make an interlibrary loan request in-person or via email nylibrary@nyfa.

Q: I think the library should carry something it currently doesn't have. How do I make that request?
A: You can make an item purchase request in-person or via email at nylibrary@nyfa.edu.

Q: Where can I see new items in the collection?
A: You can see new items as they are added to the collection on the Home Page of the Library Catalog.

Q: What happens if I lose a Library item?
A: If this happens you have two options. You can either replace the item on your own and give it to the Library or we will charge you a replacement fee based on the current market price of the item.
