Curbside Pick-up

Currently, the NYFA Library is offering curbside pick-up of materials available to all students. Please see the guidelines for this service below.

  • Please email the Library at library@nyfa.edu with any requests you may have.
  • We encourage you to please familiarize yourself with the online catalog found at the Library website to see what is available in the collection. You can also send requests via the online catalog.
  • Once requests have been received, Library staff will communicate with you regarding your request and will work with you to schedule a day and time for curbside pick-up.
  • Curbside appointments will be made for either Mondays or Thursdays only.
  • Pick-up times will be between 9:30-4:00 on Mondays and Thursdays.
  • At your appointment time, please call the main Library phone at (818) 333-3559 and wait outside of the front entrance of the Riverside Building.
  • Please arrive wearing a facemask fully covering your nose and mouth.
  • Once Library Staff arrives please show your NYFA ID through the glass front door to them and then wait by the bench as a social distancing measure.
  • Library Staff will then open the front door and place a disinfected bin outside of the door for you to get your materials. Please wait until after the staff member has closed the front door before retrieving your materials.
  • To return your materials you will need to make an appointment with Taurean Reynolds (taurean.reynolds@nyfa.edu) for appointments from Monday-Friday.

Please adhere to the procedure above and know that the Library will do everything it can to honor requests. Note that during this time we will extend course reserve books and DVDs from 3 days per item to 1 week per item, screenplays to 2 weeks per item, and General Collection books will be due 3 weeks after checkout. We are also extending the total number of items from each section to 5 so as to limit the number of trips you may need to make for Library materials at this time. Thank you!
