Alex Kratofil
Head Librarian
Alex has over a decade of experience in academic libraries and records management and has been with the NYFA Library since 2015. He is an active member of the American Library Association with division membership in the Association of College and Research Libraries, the Film and Media Round Table, and the Games and Gaming Roundtable. He is also a member of Beta Phi Mu, the International Library and Information Studies Honor Society. His professional interests include information literacy and reference services, digital resource management, and issues around First Amendment rights and censorship. His personal interests include so-bad-they're-good B movies, video games, and all things The Big Lebowski.
Alex holds a Masters in Library and Information Science from San José State University and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in English from UC Santa Barbara.
