Summer 2022
President Michael Young convened a small group of Cabinet members to discuss the launch of the 2023 - 2028 NYFA Strategic Plan.
Fall 2022
The VP for Institutional Research and Effectiveness (VP IRE) reviewed the 2018 - 2023 NYFA Strategic Plan identifying which priorities to continue and which have met their completion.
The VP of IRE met with the LA Faculty Senate and the Deans of the New York and Miami campuses and discussed faculty representation.
The Strategic Planning Committee convened to discuss faculty involvement, clarify the charge of the committee, approve the projected timeline, and make any final decisions around the 2018 - 2023 NYFA Strategic Plan.
Spring 2023
Full Strategic Planning Committee convened bimonthly, reviewed mission and vision, environmental scan, gathered evidence to support findings, and conducted a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis.
Announcement to community and request for input and feedback.
SPC will take an inventory of ongoing institutional goals and initiatives.
SPC will distill findings and set overarching goals.
Summer 2023
SPC will continue to refine goals and objectives to create a draft of the 2023 - 2028 NYFA Strategic Plan.
SPC will set key performance indicators for each goal and objectives.
SPC will create a timeline for future check in, follow up, and review.
The plan will be reviewed and approved from stakeholders, the President’s Cabinet, and President Michael Young.
A draft of the 2023 - 2028 NYFA Strategic Plan will be shared with the Board for review and approval.
The 2023 - 2028 NYFA Strategic Plan will be approved and published by September 1, 2023.
